James Thornton
James founded Oxford Surveyor in 2009 after 10 years with national surveying practices. He has a particular passion for older and non-standard properties, having surveyed everything from Grade II listed farmhouses in the Cotswolds to 1930s semis in Abingdon. James grew up in Oxfordshire and knows the local property market inside out.
Outside of surveying, James coaches junior cricket at his local club, is a keen runner, and is restoring a period cottage near Woodstock with his family — though he jokes it keeps him honest about what buyers face.
